Connecting Google Calendar

Pensova asks Google for two things and nothing else:

calendar.readonly

To list the calendars you subscribe to and read when you are busy.

calendar.events

To create, move and delete the events it places. It only ever changes events it created.

No Gmail, no contacts, no Drive. Google shows the full list before you approve it, and you can revoke it at any time from your Google account.

What the permission screen shows

Google reviews every app that asks for calendar access, and Pensova passed that review in September 2026. The screen you see lists the app name, the support address and the two permissions, with no warning. If you ever see a “Google hasn’t verified this app” page instead, stop and write to support: that page should not appear for Pensova.

Connecting after the fact

If you signed in but the calendar is not connected, the app says so at the top of Settings and on the Getting started card. The fix is to sign out and sign in again, approving both permissions this time. Connecting never touches events you did not create.

If sign-in fails

• A Google Workspace account may be blocked by your organization’s admin from authorizing third-party apps. That is a policy on their side; a personal Google account works.
• If you revoked access earlier, sign in again and re-approve the permissions.
• If Google itself shows “400. That’s an error” before you reach the account picker, the Google sign-in cookies on that browser are stale. Try a private window; if that works, clear the browser’s cookies for google.com and sign in again.

Disconnecting

Revoke Pensova in your Google account permissions. Access stops immediately. Events already on your calendar stay; they are yours. To delete the account and everything stored with it, see Security and your data.
