Choosing which calendars count

Free time is not only about your primary calendar. A shared work calendar, a partner’s calendar, a public-holiday calendar: each one you subscribe to can hold commitments the scheduler should plan around.

Open Settings and find Calendars. Every calendar your Google account subscribes to is listed. A checked calendar counts as busy; an unchecked one is ignored. The starting point is whatever you have visible in Google Calendar.

What counts as busy

• Any event on a checked calendar, including ones you have not accepted.
• Calendars shared with you as free/busy only. Pensova cannot see the titles, and does not need to.
• All-day events, which block the whole working day. A public holiday on a subscribed holiday calendar keeps that day clear of work.
• Blocked time you protect from Settings, written to Google as a recurring event.

What does not count

Events on an unchecked calendar, and events marked free in Google. Pensova’s own blocks count for every task except the one being placed, so two tasks never land on the same time.

Changing the checks triggers a replan, so a newly counted calendar moves work out of its way straight away.
